Space Chimps

A chimpanzee named Ham donned a pressurized suit, scampered into a rocket capsule and bravely went where no man (or beast) had ever gone before: space. He returned a hero to humans and simians alike.

All these years later, the great explorer's grandson, Ham III, likes blasting off, too. He just doesn't shoot so high. This fun-loving goof-off is quite happy working with a circus and entertaining cheering crowds by being blasted out of a cannon. It doesn't exactly make him a chimp-off-the-old-block, but it's plenty good for this Ham's showboat style.

Then the U.S. loses a billion-dollar space probe in a mysterious cosmic wormhole and decides that somebody must fetch it. Since no human astronauts are silly enough to rocket blindly into who-knows-where, it's time to call the chimps back into service. And who better to lead the mission than the great one's grandson.

So Ham III is forcibly recruited, joins two primate crewmates (the brainy Luna and brawny Titan) and is launched screaming into the unknown. Everybody wonders, will the pretty Luna eventually find Ham a-peeling? Does the crew have the right stuff to get the job done in the face of all this monkey business? In other words, if the monkeys see the probe, will they do what's required? Could this guy be a hero at heart or is he nothing more than a, um, ham?

Summary

We are the Divine Divas! We're four best friends - Diamond, India, Veronique and Aaliyah - who've known each other since we were kids. And in September, we formed a singing group to compete in the Glory 2 God Gospel Talent Search. It's sooooo exciting - we're working hard to win.. We attend Holy Cross Prep in Los Angeles and although we're best friends forever and love each other to Reeses pieces, we like to do different kinds of things.

	Diamond I'm the leader of the group because the Divine Divas was my idea. I get a chance to sing and to hang with my crew. Besides being a diva, I'm also on the dance team at school and I'm a fashionista - I'm fierce with my fashion and one day hope to have my own line of clothes.
	India I guess you could say that I'm kinda the shy one of the group. I can't sing all that well, but I love hanging with my BFFs. I think we’re gonna rock the contest and just might win. Then, I might come up with a whole line of jewellery because that's the kind of stuff I like to make.
	Veronique My sistahs say that I'm the political one. Well, I did just win the election for sophomore class president. And, I'm all up in this presidential election, too, because these adults are messing with our future and all of us teenagers really should be more concerned about who's sitting in that big chair at the White House. But besides all that, I'm excited about the Divine Divas `cause I love to sing. I think I got that from my dad, but I'm not sure, `cause I've never met him.
	Aaliyah I'm only part of the Divine Divas because my girls asked me to do it and when they roll, I roll. But, I ain't really into singing and everything. I'm not a performer, even though everyone thinks I have the best voice. Singing just ain't my thang! But school – that's what I love. I want to graduate from high school with a 4.0 and then go to MIT. I've always wanted to be a nuclear physicist.
